New piece by Javier Farias-Caballero
/in News /by Marco SartorMarco will be premiering “Forsaken Peaks,” a newly commissioned work by Javier Farias. The work is for guitar and SATB choir, and dedicated to Marco and the Wake Forest University Choirs, directed by Dr. Christopher Gilliam. The work is part of Javier’s “A Long Walk” series, and tells the story of Renza, a Peruvian immigrant who came to the USA after an earthquake destroyed her home town of Arequipa in 1960. The premier will take place in Brendle Recital Hall at Wake Forest University on March 28 at 7:30PM.
ACG Teacher Summit, Columbia SC
